The first four instalments ‘Mystery’ (remixes from John Morales and 4 Hero), ‘Dead Dance’ (remixes from Mark E and LTJ Xperience), ‘Freefall’ (remixes from Jose Carretas and G & D) and ‘He’s Alright’ (Mark E & MODE) sold-out instantly. Again strictly limited ‘The Last Carnival’ will fly out as huge demand for the previous rare out of print FOMDO releases continues and the underground buzz builds on this vinyl only project. With a first ever release of an original FOMDO track and a remix from Isoul8 (Sonar Collective) the quality of the series remains.

The original track is an Azymuth-esque disco creation. The instantly recognisable funk-laden bass lines of Alex Malheiros and Jose Roberto Bertrami’s complex melodies and far out interludes on keys build the song as the samba percussion and the monster orchestra kicks to life. The classic vocals from London’s soulstress Marcina Arnold fit perfectly with the dreamy blissful disco vibe.
On the B Side is the remix from Verona DJ, label & club boss (Sonica, Archive, Neroli) Enrico Crivellaro under the name Isoul8. The remix takes the track in to heavier dance floor realms. Malheiros’ huge bass comes to the fore to drive the tune before Enrico’s American swirling-psych guitar lines melt the beats together. Following big success in the drum & bass scene under the Volcov moniker Enrico is now mainly concentrating on his solo house project as Isoul8. Recent Isoul8 projects have included the 2010 12” single ‘Stop Bajon’ with Theo Parrish and Mark De Clive-Lowe on Archive and the ‘Stay Stay Stay/Waves of Love” 12” EP on Especial as well as Remixes for Zumbi (Live at Robert Johnson) 2009-2010.
Joe Davis (label founder) created the Monster Disco Orchestra alongside long-time Far Out producers David Brinkworth (Harmonic 313) and Daniel “Venom” Maunick (son of Bluey Incognito). He’s Alright is written by Far Out founder Joe Davis and Azymuth keyboard maestro Jose Roberto Bertrami and the stunning, soulful vocals are provided by Marcina Arnold and Mia Mendes.

He’s Alright was recorded in Brazil with the Monster Disco Orchestra led by Azymuth’s Jose Roberto Bertrami, arranged by Arthur Verocai and with Rio’s finest musicians and hugely talented string section it is supersized disco like you’ve never heard before.

Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra Brazil

Joe Davis (Far Out label founder) created the Monster Disco Orchestra alongside long-time Far Out producers David Brinkworth) and Daniel “Venom” Maunick.

In 2008, they put together some of Far Out’s best musicians from Rio in the studio to make a record that could mix cultures, generations, languages and musical ideas, yet be a homage to the music they all love, Brazilian music, soul and disco.
